Strive's Bitcoin Acquisitions and Market Position
According to a Tuesday filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Strive acquired 3,311 Bitcoin (BTC) in the week ending October 9, at an average purchase price of approximately $84,500 per coin.
These acquisitions raised Strive's total Bitcoin holdings to 32,773 BTC, positioning it as the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder. On Tuesday, Bitcoin traded at approximately $83,300, while Strive's (ASST) share price remained largely stable at $27.52.
Warrant Exercises and Corporate Strategy
Strive Chairman and CEO Matt Cole stated that investors exercised $208 million in warrants, with about 15.3 million warrants remaining before their Tuesday expiration.
The company also modified its governing documents to establish a minimum issuance price of $100 for its SATA preferred shares, restricting sales below this threshold. These shares were trading at $99.40. Despite issuing additional equity, Strive's recent purchases increased its Bitcoin holdings per share, with Bitcoin reserves growing by 11.2%, exceeding the 9.4% increase in its effective common share count.
Michael Saylor, whose company Strategy pioneered the corporate Bitcoin treasury model, commended Strive's strategy. Saylor noted that Strive's approach of converting demand for digital equity (ASST) and digital credit (SATA) into Bitcoin demand demonstrates how capital markets are accelerating Bitcoin adoption. Strategy itself added 250 BTC to its treasury last week, bringing its total to 848,250 BTC, maintaining its status as the largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder.
