Long Events MCP brings pay-per-call event data to AI agents

Long Events, a live data platform developed by the Long Community Alliance and powered by Belong, has introduced a new pay-per-call event data service for AI agents. This service, known as Long Events MCP, addresses the challenge of fragmented event listings across various ticketing sites and independent organizer pages. The platform consolidates these records into a standardized catalog, resolving duplicates and inconsistencies in event times and locations.

Developers can access this catalog through a REST API and 16 Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools. The system allows software applications, such as travel planners or discovery tools, to search for events by city name or geographic coordinates. Queries return structured data for events, venues, organizers, and artists, including performance schedules, location details, source URLs, and registration links.

Comprehensive Event Grouping and Micropayment System

For major industry gatherings, which often include numerous independently organized side events, Long Events groups related listings into comprehensive conference or festival weeks. This feature enables conference assistants to retrieve an entire week's program in a single data request, facilitating attendee coordination for events like Devcon, Bitcoin Amsterdam, and Breakpoint. For instance, the Devcon week calendar will include events such as Crypto After Hours: Penthouse, a Web3 gathering hosted by Alpha Tree in Mumbai on November 7, with Belong.net as a technology partner.

The micropayment system for Long Events MCP allows AI agents to purchase data within a user-authorized budget. Individual requests, priced at $0.005, are settled in USDC on Base. Developers requiring batched access can purchase 10-call bundles on BNB Chain using LONG, Tether (USDT), USDC, or USD1. A promotional discount through March 31, 2027, reduces LONG payments for these bundles from $0.05 to an equivalent of $0.04.

Platform Scope and Future Development

The platform provides public documentation, transparent pricing, OpenAPI schemas, and free MCP tool discovery, with listings in the official MCP registry and Coinbase’s x402 Bazaar. The Long Events catalog covers 400 cities across 118 countries, indexing 500,000 past and upcoming events, 300 event weeks, 180,000 venues, and 80,000 artists.

Future development plans include expanding geographic coverage, enhancing data freshness and quality, broadening conference-week programs, and simplifying integration for developers and agent builders. The initiative aims to make real-world schedule discovery a standard capability for everyday software and AI assistants.
