Bitcoin ETFs See Seven-Day Inflow Streak, 2026 Flows Turn Positive
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced significant inflows on Friday, marking a seven-day streak that has accumulated approximately $2.98 billion. This positive trend follows a period in mid-September when the funds saw substantial outflows totaling $746.3 million after the Clarity Act failed to pass in the Senate.
Year-to-date flows for Bitcoin ETFs have now turned positive, reaching $886.8 million through Thursday, according to Farside Investors data. This represents a substantial recovery from a $5.69 billion deficit observed in July, with the turnaround beginning on September 17.
Record Inflows and Bitcoin Price Surge
The largest single-day inflow occurred on September 21, when the funds attracted nearly $1 billion. This marked their best performance since October 2025. This surge contributed to Bitcoin's price rising above the average cost basis for ETF holders.
Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart estimated the average cost basis for ETF holders at $81,722. This development placed the typical fund investor back into profit for the first time since January, reflecting a strong market rebound for these investments.
Cumulative Performance and Future Outlook
Cumulative net inflows since the launch of these funds now stand at $58.0 billion, with total net assets at $108.42 billion. Bitcoin is currently trading at approximately $84,020, demonstrating its recent upward trajectory.
Despite the recent positive trend, the funds still need to attract substantial capital to match last year's inflows of $21.35 billion. This would require an average daily inflow of around $300 million through December. This indicates a significant target for the remainder of the year.
