Grayscale Files S-1 for US Worldcoin ETF

Grayscale has submitted an S-1 registration statement for a Worldcoin exchange-traded fund in the United States. This ETF aims to provide investors with exposure to the WLD token via an exchange-traded product.

The preliminary prospectus indicates that the Grayscale Worldcoin ETF is slated for listing on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol GWLD.

BitGo Bank & Trust is designated to custody the Worldcoin (WLD) assets. BNY Mellon will function as the administrator and transfer agent, while CSC Delaware Trust Company will act as the trustee.

Specifics regarding management fees, initial investment, authorized participants, or liquidity providers have not yet been disclosed in the filing.

WLD is an ERC-20 token operating on the Ethereum blockchain. It is the native token for Worldcoin, a project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, which utilizes biometric verification to differentiate between human users and bots.

This proposed Worldcoin ETF would join Grayscale's existing portfolio of 17 crypto-related exchange-traded products, which include offerings for Bitcoin (BTC), XRP (XRP), Solana (SOL), Ether (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Chainlink (LINK).
