Polkadot is a multi-chain blockchain protocol that enables different blockchains to transfer messages, including value, in a trust-free fashion; sharing their unique features while pooling their security. In essence, Polkadot facilitates an internet of blockchains, or a web of blockchains, allowing for interoperability among different networks.
