Stellar tokenized RWA market more than quadruples to nearly $4B

The Stellar tokenized RWA market has expanded significantly, reaching nearly $4 billion in value. This represents an increase of approximately 360% since the end of the previous year, when the market stood at $868.8 million.

The current market capitalization, recorded on August 29, is $3.996 billion and encompasses various asset classes, including US Treasurys, private and public credit, and non-US government debt. This data is based on a Dune Analytics dashboard maintained by Stellar.

Key Market Issuers

The market is primarily driven by a few key issuers. Spiko holds the largest share, with $1.55 billion in value as of August 27. Other significant contributors include Realiz at $559 million, Tradable at $548 million, Franklin Templeton at $546 million, and Ondo at $535 million.

Stellar has also seen growth in non-US government debt, with approximately $490 million in this asset class as of August 20, according to RWA.xyz data. This includes tokenized Mexican CETES and Brazilian government bonds issued via Etherfuse.

Institutional Adoption and Digital Payments

This growth in the Stellar tokenized RWA market is attributed to increased institutional adoption and the expanded use of the network by tokenization platforms. In May, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced plans to integrate its tokenization service with Stellar, aiming to make DTC-tokenized assets available on the network in the first half of 2027. This integration could potentially support tokenized US Treasurys, major index ETFs, and Russell 1000 stocks.

Further institutional engagement occurred in July, when Tradable, a tokenization platform, revealed intentions to bring up to $1 billion in private credit assets to Stellar. This initiative is designed to enhance compliance, investor onboarding, and asset lifecycle management, building upon Tradable's existing $1.7 billion in tokenized private credit across nearly 30 positions.

Stellar has also broadened its involvement in digital payments. MoneyGram launched its MGUSD dollar stablecoin on the network in June, enabling users to hold dollar-denominated balances and facilitate transactions through its global payments network. MGUSD contributes to the approximately $438 million in reserve-verified stablecoins currently issued on Stellar, as reported by the Dune dashboard.
