Binance Completes ApeCoin Swap on BNB Smart Chain
Binance has successfully completed a 1:1 contract swap for ApeCoin (APE) on the BNB Smart Chain, marking a major upgrade finalized on November 3, 2025. The migration aims to enhance transaction security, network efficiency, and cross-chain functionality — all without disrupting trading activity.
The exchange confirmed that old APE tokens have been renamed to APEOLD, and withdrawals for them are now disabled. All users automatically received the new version of APE at a 1:1 ratio. Binance stated that withdrawals for the upgraded token will reopen once all technical adjustments are complete.
Smooth 1:1 Migration Strengthens BNB Ecosystem
By moving ApeCoin operations to the BNB Smart Chain, Binance improves liquidity management and smart contract performance, supporting the long-term scalability of the network. Market participants welcomed the transition, noting the exchange’s consistent ability to execute token migrations seamlessly.
According to CoinMarketCap, ApeCoin was trading near $0.40 at the time of the swap, with a market cap of roughly $304 million. Despite short-term price declines, analysts believe the upgrade will reinforce trust in Binance’s infrastructure and boost the broader BEP20 ecosystem.
