Robinhood Chain DEX Volume Jumps to $1.6 billion

Robinhood Chain DEX volume recently surged to $1.595 billion in 24 hours, marking a 61% increase from $989 million between August 28 and September 1. This significant rise positioned the Ethereum Layer 2 prominently within the decentralized finance (DeFi) landscape.

The network also reported $738.11 million in total value locked (TVL) in DeFi and a stablecoin market capitalization of $796.74 million as of September 1. These metrics, alongside $353.96 million in daily perpetual futures volume and $2.524 billion in assets bridged, highlight the growing activity on Robinhood Chain DEX. For users looking to engage with decentralized finance, understanding the best defi wallets available is crucial for managing assets on networks like Robinhood Chain DEX.

Robinhood Chain's Launch and Early Growth

The Robinhood Chain, which began public testing in February 2026 and launched its Arbitrum-powered mainnet on July 1, supports continuous trading of tokenized stocks. Eligible users can leverage these assets for lending or as collateral.

The network experienced rapid growth in its initial week of July, processing over 17 million transactions and attracting nearly 350,000 addresses. During this period, the cumulative Robinhood Chain DEX volume surpassed $1 billion.

Continued Expansion and Strategic Vision and Performance Evolution

By late July, the network recorded approximately $433 million in 24-hour DEX volume, placing it among the top five blockchains at the time. TVL stood at around $94 million, and stablecoin balances exceeded $260 million.

Current figures represent a substantial increase compared to July, with TVL nearly eight times higher and stablecoin capitalization roughly tripling. However, these comparisons may be influenced by varying reporting periods and methodologies.

Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood's crypto chief, stated in an August interview that the chain had processed over 200 million transactions. He explained the network's strategy as balancing traditional financial products with the speculative tokens that attract cryptocurrency traders. Early activity on the platform was largely driven by meme coins, which initially overshadowed the tokenized stocks central to Robinhood's original concept.
